What is CBD? & how does it work?

CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid compound found in the hemp plant, it is legal and is a thing that the most healthy person you know is currently doing. And - it’s for good reason.

THC, is the other cannabinoid you might be most familiar with, mostly associated with getting high. Unlike THC, CBD is not intoxicating and instead offers many therapeutic benefits.

Without getting “too” technical, it’s important to understand the biochemistry behind it. The body already has it's own natural system of cannabinoid “receptors” in it. This system is called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS).

Think of it has a set of radars throughout your body and your brain, looking for cannabinoid-type substances.

How will I feel?

How do I dose?

Start with a 5-10 drops and gradually increase your dosage over a few days while observing your body's response. Every body is unique, so your initial dose could range from a few drops to a full dropper.

How often should I take daily dose?

Daily Dose CBD is formulated for daily support, yet balanced enough to support an increased dosage as needed. We recommend you dose daily for 2 weeks straight to start to feel the effects.

From there, it’s really up to you and your personal needs.

Is there anything else I should be aware of?

If you have a medical condition or take pharmaceutical drugs, please consult your physician before use.

CBD may temporarily decrease blood pressure, so if your blood pressure is already low, you may experience light-headedness. Drowsiness and dry mouth may also occur for some people.

Will it get me high?

There’s a big difference between the 2 most common compounds in cannabis - THC - gets you high. CBD - does not.

THC is the cannabinoid that prompts psychoactive effects commonly associated with marijuana, like the munchies, euphoria, relaxation. CBD is another cannabinoid, but, unlike THC, it's not psychoactive. CBD provides some of marijuana’s therapeutic effects such as pain relief and reduced inflammation without the high.

What are the benefits of taking it orally?

CBD can be taken by putting a few drops under the tongue, also known as sublingual. When you take a water-soluble formula sublingually, the cannabinoids are absorbed by the blood vessels lining the mouth, resulting in a quick onset of effects. You can also digest it in a beverage or mix it into your food.

What are the benefits of CBD for my fitness routine?

When taken before a workout, CBD improves endurance, plus it protects the breakdown of muscles, and slows down pain and inflammation.
