The not so good news about other sleep aids?

Pharmaceuticals such as sedatives and antidepressants come with many side effects and do not treat the underlying cause, but rather are a quick fix and should not be used long term. They also throw the natural balance of your body, forcing it to become reliant on chemical-based products to do the job. 

Vitamins such as Melatonin and Magnesium require you to know what you’re deficient in or exactly why your sleep is affected in order to be used efficiently. For example, if you take a vitamin such as melatonin but in fact, it's the stress or joint pain that's causing the sleeplessness, then the melatonin is ineffective and may have adverse effects. Some vitamins also have side effects and long term use is not recommended.
